El impacto del juego libre en el desarrollo socioemocional en niños de 3 a 5 años: revisión sistemática

Esta revisión sistemática examina el impacto del juego libre en el desarrollo socioemocional de niños de 3 a 5 años mediante un enfoque mixto cualitativo cuantitativo. Se realizaron búsquedas sistemáticas en bases de datos como Scopus, Web of Science, ERIC, SciELO, Dialnet, Redalyc y PsycINFO entre enero y marzo de 2025, utilizando cadenas booleanas adaptadas (e.g., "juego libre" OR "free play" OR "child led play" AND "desarrollo socioemocional" OR "SEL" AND "educación inicial" OR "preschool"), limitadas a 2020 2025 y títulos/resúmenes/palabras clave. De 1.247 registros identificados, se eliminaron 355 duplicados; dos revisores cribaron 892 títulos/resúmenes y evaluaron 355 textos completos, excluyendo 327 por criterios (juego dirigido/digital n=112, muestras fuera de 3 5 años n=98, sin medidas SEL n=67, literatura gris n=35, metodología insuficiente n=15). Se incluyeron 28 estudios rigurosos (15 cuantitativos n=2.156 niños, 9 cualitativos n=342, 4 mixtos n=210; 65% Latinoamérica), con calidad 80% (MMAT mixtos 80%, ROBINS I bajo moderado 68%, CASP cualitativos 85%). Extracción de datos en Excel (consenso inter revisores 0.87) integró efectos cuantitativos y temas NVivo (resiliencia, autonomía). Intervenciones de juego libre (30 min/día, sin dirección adulta, materiales abiertos) generan avances significativos: autorregulación emocional (d=0.62, IC95% 0.41 0.83, p<0.001, SSRS/CBCL), empatía (OR=2.14, IC95% 1.45 3.16, p<0.001, SDQ), habilidades sociales (d=0.55, IC95% 0.32 0.78, p<0.01), autonomía (d=0.78, IC95% 0.55 1.01, p<0.001). Efectos mayores en rurales (ES=0.71 vs. urbanos 0.48, p<0.002), niñas (ES=0.72), materiales reciclados/naturales (ES=0.74), facilitación no directiva (ES=0.79). Juego libre supera dirigido/digital (ES diferencia 0.59 0.71, 82% comparaciones). Se recomiendan 30 60 min diarios en currículos iniciales, formación docente en andamiaje sutil y políticas de equidad (ODS 4.2), priorizando contextos vulnerables latinoamericanos.
